Nash Farms was the perfect setting for Destiny and TeeJay’s engagement session. We can’t wait to document their special day at this very location!
The First Date
Our first date was a double date with mutual friends. We had all hung out in a group setting, but never one on one as couples and because I have always been a shy person, I was almost too nervous to go, but my friends were very determined to get us together and refused to go without me. We had a really good time and TeeJay made it easy for me to open up and enjoy the time together. At that point, we all knew that he and I were good together, and I didn’t want to spend my time with anyone else. We started going on dates, on our own, after that night and shortly after he made it official.
About a year later, he sent me a text as he was leaving work, telling me to be ready to go out when he got home. We had dinner at Olive Garden, which is a favorite for the both of us. It was our early Valentine’s date since we were both going to have to work the day of. We had dinner and talked like we always do. He was a real gentleman the entire night. He waited until we got back to the car where he opened my door and when I went to sit down, he dropped to his knee. It was private, but perfect in every way. He said he knew that I was shy and didn’t like a lot of attention, so he wanted me to be comfortable when he finally asked me the most important question of our lives. Obviously, I said yes and here we are two years later.
The Future Plans
We are getting married on October 7th, 2017 at Nash Farms. It will be a small wedding, with just family and close friends in attendance. For our honeymoon, we are going on a cruise to Key West and Cozumel. We are super excited as neither one of us have ever been on a cruise before and we get to experience it together. When we get back, we will begin our house hunting journey. We’re hoping to find the perfect home for our family, in Jackson since our parents are here and this is where we feel “at home.”
