Ann and Tyler’s engagement session took place in Locust Grove, Georgia. We are so excited to tell their wedding story this fall!
The First Date:
Tyler planned a dinner at the Sun Dial with another couple. We got completely dressed up. Tyler wore a blue bow tie, so handsome! We were enjoying each others company so much during dinner that we decided to keep the night going and go to a movie on the way home. I remember it being a scary movie- which I highly dislike, but he was there so I didn’t mind scraping up the courage to go in!
A few months before the proposal we planned a weekend cabin getaway with four of our closest friends. I had no idea that the closer we got to that weekend, the more planning Tyler was doing so the proposal could go just right. He bought the ring a month before, ate dinner with my parents and asked both of their blessings the week before, and let all the guys in on the proposal the week of the trip. We encountered several obstacles on the trip leading up to the proposal, such as: a flat tire, a 10 mile hike, a change in dinner plans (that went against his original plan); and me taking my time and wanting to wear sweat pants moments before! He managed to get me out on the deck of the cabin overlooking the mountains as the sun was setting. Our friend pretended that his go-pro that he used all weekend (to secretly film us) was acting up so he was on the deck trying to film and fix it. We took a few pictures with the backgound and then as I was turning around Tyler proposed in the most sweet way. It was a weekend neither one of us will ever forget. So happy, our friends were there to celebrate too!
The Future Plans:
Our wedding date is September 16th, 2017. We are going to Cancun for our honeymoon. We plan to continue raising our sweet puppy, Ariah, and plan on having one, maybe two kids in the future.
